Bee Allergies
Timeless Prairie Orchard is a working orchard so bees are present. For those with allergies to bees take precautions.

Pets
Pet are allowed in the dog area only on a leash as long as you clean up after them. Pets are not allowed in the retail barn or orchard due to GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) guidelines.

Restrooms
Port-a-potties are available for your personal convenience.

Orchard System

Timeless Prairie Orchard is located in the rolling hills of beautiful Buchanan County in Northeast Iowa. The orchard structure consists of a high density dwarf system which has grown from its first planting of 500 trees to its current 4000 trees on 7 acres. Integrated Pest Management or IPM has been practiced since the orchard’s inception in 2003.

Our Growing Practices

As growers we practice sustainability by using the modern technique of IPM (Integrated Pest Management) which reduces the amount of spray needed. We trap and scout for damaging insects such as codling moth and use specific sprays only for the pests when they pose significant economic loss while conserving beneficial insects to the best of our ability. We utilize as many organic practices as possible. However many fungal diseases, activated by our wet spring weather, can only be controlled by fungicides that are used only when required. We use modern IP.
